Large ancient sunk ship discovered in Shandong (People's Daily) Archeologist recently discovered a large ancient wooden ship sunk but intact at an ancient harbor site in Penglai of Shandong. Preliminary conjecture attributes that ship to Yuan Dynasty, which was more than 600 years from now in the past. This is the first time in 20 years that China has discovered a large ancient sunken ship.
