Airboating accidents prompt calls for safety precautions in Everglades

It seemed as if it were happening in slow motion. That's what Neil Ruddy would later tell friends about his airboating accident Monday that sent one friend to the hospital and launched a frantic, hourlong search and rescue mission through the winding expanse of the Everglades in western Broward County.
