Coast Guard rescues six from water near Yaquina Head (KATU) YAQUINA HEAD, Ore. - The Coast Guard was called to Yaquina Head this morning after a 58-foot fishing vessel began taking on water. The U.S. Guard got on the scene about 8:15 a.m. and launched a motor life boat from Depoe Bay. A helicopter was also sent from Newport.
