| By Kelly November 10 marks the 30th anniversary of the sinking of one of the most famous of the Great Lakes freighters. Measuring 729 feet, the Great Lakes Engineering Works launched the Edmund Fitzgerald in 1958 and she cruised the Lakes for 17 years. As many in the maritime community are more than familiar with the story - take the quiz posted on Timothy Craig McCall's comprehensive S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald website.
