The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, reports that for the first time since 1950, there were no tornado fatalities during the high tornado season, April, May and June. Robert Siegel talks with Joe Schaefer, director of NOAA's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., about reasons why there were no deaths this season. Schaefer says it's best to credit Mother Nature. He says in recent times, an average of 30 people have died each year from tornadoes during the same three-month period. | | | |
