Counter Terrorism on the Water

This was published by the Coast Guard in 2002. The government is tightening up on planes and trains but what about boats? "Counter Terrorism Measures Several civilian commercial firms with access to maritime information have recently reported receiving e-mail and phone inquiries about naval vessel strength, stability and scantling information. The nature of the inquiries, their source, and the fact that they were repeated raised the firms' suspicions and they reported their suspicions to the authorities. If you should become suspicious of a similar inquiry for any reason, call the Coast Guard National Response Center (1 800 424-8802) or the local FBI." Keep your eyes open boaters.
