Authorities Believe They Found Hit-And-Run Boat
A boat is in the police custody and authorities believe it's the one used in the fatal hit-and-run on West Lake Okoboji that killed 51-year-old Mike Brosnahan of Perry, Iowa and injured his wife, Jill.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says it found the boat late Friday night on a lift on the lake. No details are being released about the discovery of the boat.
It is in law enforcement custody and authorities say are examining some things on it.
Kevin Baskins with the DNR says no arrests or charges have been filed.
Baskins, Iowa DNR, says, "We did get tremendous cooperation from the community and public on this as evidence by more than 100 phone calls we got, instrumental of making progress on this case."
The public is still being asked to report any information related to the August 12 incident.
