Man Drowns In Columbia River Boating Accident (KOIN News 6) PORTLAND -- Authorities say a man in his 20s drowned after a boating accident along the Columbia River in northeast Portland. The victim, who witnesses say was not wearing a life vest, fell overboard Sunday night while on a boat ride with a small group along the river near Government Island.
